Vulcan Eyewear was created by Zac Folk, a serial entrepreneur & self-taught designer that couldn’t find any stylish eyeglasses that were sufficiently wide, and that had long enough temples. Initially, Zac attempted to solve the frame conundrum by ordering bespoke frames, but this proved to be an entirely unsuccessful approach on multiple occasions. In a final act of determination, Zac set out to help others like himself by procuring his own handcrafted eyewear manufacturing partners, and began designing Vulcan’s initial batches of artisanal limited-edition frames – the Bonham, and the Alpine. New timeless frame styles are constantly in the works, and our quest for perfection in the crafting of our eyeglasses will continue to drive us as we evolve as a progressive independent eyewear producer.
